We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and committed Attendance and Admissions Officer to join our admin team at Parklands Community Primary School starting in September 2025. This role involves monitoring and reporting on attendance data, managing admissions, and working closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce absence levels and address safeguarding concerns.

Hours: 37 hours per week, core hours of 8:30 to 4:30
We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and committed Attendance and Admissions Officer to join our admin team at Parklands Community Primary School starting in September 2025. This role involves monitoring and reporting on attendance data, managing admissions, and working closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce absence levels and address safeguarding concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and report on attendance data.
Manage admissions for statutory entry points and in-year admissions.
Follow up on unexplained absences and initiate absence procedures.
Produce attendance reports and identify areas of concern.
Coordinate meetings with parents/carers and conduct home visits if needed.
Work in line with safeguarding guidance and policies.

Experience
· Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting
· Experience identifying interventions to raise attendance of pupils
· Experience working directly with pupils and parents

· Experience analysing data and producing reports and identifying key insights
Skills and knowledge
· Good listening skills
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of the possible interventions to raise attendance
· Knowledge of the potential barriers to high attendance that pupils may face
· Ability to tailor interventions to individual pupils
· Ability to use IT systems and to conduct analysis and produce reports
· Good knowledge of Excel
