Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) – Weekend Insourcing Opportunities Location: East Midlands ️ Availability: Saturdays & Sundays Rates: Competitive We are seeking experienced Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) to support weekend insourcing lists across the East Midlands, helping deliver NHS waiting list initiatives in: Anaesthetics Scrub/Theatre Surgery Recovery As part of the perioperative team, you will deliver high standards of skilled care and support throughout every stage of the patient journey. Requirements To be eligible, you must: Be currently working within a busy NHS surgical/theatre team Have recent, hands-on experience in anaesthetics, scrub or recovery Have actively worked in this setting for at least 6 months within the last 12 months Be experienced in preparing operating theatres and supporting safe, effective patient care Be confident acting as a key link between the surgical team and wider theatre/hospital services Key Responsibilities Duties may include: Preparing instruments and specialist equipment for surgery, including microscopes, lasers and endoscopes Assisting surgeons by providing the correct instruments and materials during procedures Maintaining responsibility for surgical apparatus, equipment and swab counts throughout procedures Monitoring patients in recovery and delivering appropriate post-anaesthetic and post-operative care Assessing patients prior to discharge back to the ward Why Join Our Weekend Insourcing Teams?
