The role Southern Housing is seeking multiple talented candidates to join us as Resettlement Officers in our Resident Experience Team. These are Fixed Term roles of between 12 months and 2 years, one based in Hastings, Sussex and one based in London, one can be flexible on location for the correct Candidate all on a hybrid basis. As a Resettlement Officer, you'll provide an effective and efficient liaison and support service for residents who need to be moved either temporarily or permanently. You'll ensure the resettlement process for residents is as smooth and efficient as possible, meeting the correct standards with regards to Housing Management good practice, policies and procedures. You will collaborate with internal teams, as you work together to enhance resident satisfaction and ensure a seamless and integrated approach to service delivery. Responsibilities will include: Responding promptly to enquiries and complaints about service provision in a professional and courteous manner. You will attend resident meetings when appropriate Carrying out viewings and sign-ups with residents Taking into account residents' vulnerabilities, tailoring the service to ensure we meet their needs and provide appropriate support. Ensuring residents needing to move are given the opportunity to provide input into and view properties offered, and to undertake activities to encourage the decision to accept the arrangement Accurate record keeping and excellent standards of case management are maintained on the system, recording all notes/actions clearly, accurately and appropriately Developing strong working relationships with the Local Authority's Housing Teams, and Choice Based Lettings partners to ensure homes are let appropriately and in line with regulatory requirements What you'll need: Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, displaying good interpersonal skills in multiple modes (phone, face-to-face, emails and in writing) using customer friendly language. Able to develop & build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external agencies to generate effective solutions to problems. Ability to manage time & tasks effectively, work well under pressure both individually and in a team to deadlines. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Be customer-focused with the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision. Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work.
