Senior Financial Reporting Accountant
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000

What You'll Be Doing
Leadership
* Lead and support a direct report, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and development is encouraged.
* Promote high standards of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
Intercompany & Corporate Accounting
* Support corporate intercompany matters including transfer pricing and franchise fees.
* Partner with the Group Tax team and intercompany accountant to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
* Identify opportunities to streamline and improve intercompany processes.
Month-End Close
* Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and adjustments.
* Review financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with internal controls.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and strengthen reporting processes.
Audit & Year-End Reporting
* Lead preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
* Liaise with external auditors to ensure efficient and timely statutory audits.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Balance Sheet Control
* Perform and review detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
* Investigate and resolve reconciling items promptly.
* Maintain clear documentation supporting audit and internal control requirements.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor developments in financial regulations and accounting standards.
* Support improvements to financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
* Assist with the transition to enhanced compliance and reporting standards.
Additional Responsibilities
* Ensure all ONS submissions are completed accurately and on time.
* Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
What We're Looking For
* ACA Qualified 1-3 years PQE - ideally with some industry experience
* Experience in a senior accounting role within a corporate or audit environment.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (Oracle Fusion experience is advantageous).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
* A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
