Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Bartender to join our professional and hard working team. Someone who has the passion to deliver a truly memorable and impressive experience for our guests. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating 5* experiences for our guests.

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.

£12.71 per hourFull time position, 40 hours per week, mainly evening shifts and weekendsAdditional share of the service charge and tips every monthGreet guests, take orders and serve food and drinksAnswer all queries about the menu including drinks and make suggestionsTake ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergiesSet up the dining areas and process charges and paymentsEffectively communicate with managers and all colleaguesFollow Health and Safety and Food Safety proceduresExperienced bartenderKnowledge of traditional cocktails and spiritsExperience with handling guest queries and complaintsNatural passion and flair for the industry and foodA calm mature approachAmbition to succeed at the highest levelsDedicated team player with strong communication skillsAbility to work unsupervised using own initiative when neededWilling to learn new things28 days holiday including bank holidaysAn additional paid day off on your birthdayComplimentary stay at the Castle after 3 months’ probation period successfully passedTraining programs via internal & external professionals and access to online training facilitiesStaff and family rates on hotel accommodation and discounts on food and beverageRecognition programmesUniform and meals provided whilst on duty and free parking
