Do you have experience of working within a Training/Assessing Sector?
Cormac are looking to fill an integral role within the business to help provide internal and external customers with construction and highway maintenance-related training in areas such as construction skills, plant operation, specialist subject skills and health and safety.
You will play a key role in delivering training, assessments and testing to a high standard in subjects such as plant operations, lifting operations, NVQ assessments and general health and safety training to our employees at Cormac’s Training Centre’s, sites, and various venues, you will also engage with commercial and business development activities and provide client/customer liaison as required.
About the role
1. You will work with the Training Centre Manager and wider team to support the delivery of the L&D Strategy and business plans/budget.
2. Be a subject matter specialist in one or more area (Health and Safety, Highways, Groundworks, Surfacing etc)
3. This is a Peripatetic Trainer role and as such has a level of autonomy, you must be able to take control of a situation that is not as expected when you arrive on site and quickly demonstrate professional expertise and problem-solving skills
Some of the duties will include:
4. Planning your working week and travel commitments to ensure you deliver allocated training, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5. Build relationships with internal and external customers which will project Cormac’s Notter Bridge Training Centre in a professional manner.
6. Responsible for reviewing, developing, and maintaining course material to suit the customer and liaise with them to ensure we deliver the training that is appropriate.
7. Work to ensure we maintain our accreditations, including Awarding Organisations, LANTRA, CITB status and other bodies as appropriate.

Qualifications
8. Construction and Built Environment Qualification National Certificate (HNC/D)
9. Level Award in Education and Training
10. Level Professional Assessing qualification
11. Level professional Internal Quality Assurance qualification
12. NEBOSH general certificate, CITB SSP (SSSTS/SMSTS) Health & Safety qualification or IOSH Managing safely certificate
