Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Paraplanner Team Leader to lead a team of 5 whilst supporting advisers in delivering excellent client outcomes.The RoleThis is an opportunity to join a growing paraplanning function, leading a team, uploading requests into work flows and allocating work according to complexity to the team, whilst supporting financial advisers with a wide range of client-focused activities.
You will work within a structured environment, using established templates and processes to prepare documentation, carry out research, and assist with ongoing servicing.The role offers exposure to high-net-worth clients and complex financial planning, providing a strong foundation for long-term career development within paraplanning.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist financial advisers in preparing: Suitability reportsFinancial recommendationsConduct research across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planningMaintain accurate and compliant client records across internal systems and provider platformsEnsure all client files meet regulatory and compliance standardsSupport administration tasks relating to new business submissions Client onboardingOngoing servicing and reviewsAction client-related transactions (e.g. contributions, withdrawals, fund switches)Collaborate with advisers and the wider team to deliver a seamless client experienceMonitor provider updates and regulatory changes relevant to recommendationsDevelop technical knowledge of financial planning products and advice processesLeading a team of 5 (this team will grow)Requirements (Essential)You will have experience within a paraplanning role whilst being a seasoned people managerStrong understanding of financial services processes and client life cycleSolid administrative background with excellent organisational skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyStrong written communication skills, particularly for report preparationAbility to work independently in a remote environmentStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloadDesirable Skills & ExperienceExperience using financial planning or workflow systemsPersonal AttributesSelf-motivated and proactiveResilient and able to manage busy periods (e.g. tax year-end)Comfortable working in a structured yet autonomous environmentEager to learn and develop within financial servicesWorking Pattern & Environment Fully remote working modelOccasional travel to Sheffield is required for team meetings, training, and collaboration.Structured workflow system with task allocation based on complexity and timelinesRegular team development sessions, including technical and process trainingWhat you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
