THE ROLE
Are you highly organised, analytical, and looking to develop your career in customs administration? Join our team in Manchester as a Customs Administrator, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our customs processes.
Reporting to the Customs Manager, you will be responsible for validating and updating customs entries using our in-house systems. Your attention to detail will help ensure all customs documentation is complete and accurate, supporting our business operations and compliance requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Data input on customs in-house systems.
* Obtaining and saving commercial paperwork – including Invoices, Packing lists, Customs declarations etc.
* Uploading of Returns Manifests and saving these to a SharePoint.
* Liaising with suppliers regarding paperwork and amendments to paperwork.
* Checking the accuracy of information received from suppliers prior to input on customs systems.
* Maintaining documentation storage and logs required for audit and reporting purposes.
* Providing support to the Customs Team.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Basic understanding of customs processes preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
* Highly Numerate/Analytical.
* Accuracy and attention to detail essential.
* Extremely well organised.
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Experience of Excel to an intermediate/advanced level.
