We are looking for a Marketing Executive to join our team. We are flexible on location so long as you are in commuting distance from one of our Scottish offices. Job Purpose: We're seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Executive to help spearhead our marketing communication strategies in key sectors, bolstering our robust brand reputation and expanding our presence in emerging markets across the UK. The Marketing Executive will be responsible for (but not limited to): Implementing strategic marketing plans to achieve company objectives as well as helping to develop and shape future plans Reporting on progress and success of the plans, as well as developing a means for competitor research and benchmarking Growing an understanding of the needs and wants of our clients through helping to co-ordinate client listening activity and adjusting marketing plans accordingly Executing marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and traditional media Writing engaging content for marketing materials, including website copy, blog posts, social media posts, newsletters, advertisements, internal communications, presentations and reports Analysing marketing data for our key sectors looking website traffic on GA4, engagement metrics on social media and overall conversion rates to measure effectiveness of campaigns and optimise overall marketing plans Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sector teams, business development leads as well as the wider Marketing team to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with overall business goals Lead meetings in key areas for your role including some sector marketing planning meetings and catch-ups Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing and technology, looking for new campaign initiatives, data resources, new channels for promotion or best practice Working closely with external suppliers and helping to manage the relationship and workload including PR agency, videographer, photographer and partnership key contacts Representing Johnston Carmichael at industry and partnership events, helping to set up and manage the exhibition stand, network and support with presentations and follow ups Supporting on tender submissions helping to project manage these and leading on the marketing and branding support required Helping to roll out and manage our new CRM system for lead and relationship tracking across the firm. Managing and screening potential client leads, liaising with the key appointed people across the business for following up, and tracking progress Reviewing and tracking the budget spend for key sector activity to ensure marketing plans are delivered on budget Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field advantageous Proven experience in marketing roles, with the transferrable skills Strong understanding of marketing principles and techniques, including digital marketing, content marketing, and social media as well as reporting Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content Proven experience of project management and campaign management from start to finish Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM software) Experience of design tools such as Canva, InDesign and Illustrator would be a bonus, but not essential Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities Strong organisational skills and attention to detail and quality Ability to work with, and lead meetings with, stakeholders at all levels Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Why JC?
