We are recruiting Class 1 Shunter Drivers (C+E Licence) for a leading XPO Logistics contract within the building supply sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for long-term, stable work with the potential to go temp-to-perm after 13 weeks .
Job Overview
* Job Title: Class 1 Shunter Driver
* Location: East Leake, Barrow, Gotham (UK driving jobs)
* Pay Rate: £15.88 per hour + holiday accrual
* Contract: Temp to Perm (after 13 weeks)
Shift Patterns
* Monday to Friday PM shift: 14:00 - 22:30
* Rotating AM / PM shift available
Class 1 Shunter Driver Duties
* Safely shunting trailers around a busy distribution yard
* Coordinating with transport, warehouse, and security teams
* Ensuring efficient vehicle movement on-site
* Following strict health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
* Shunter or yard experience preferred (full training provided)
* Strong understanding of HGV safety standards
* Reliable and professional approach
