As a FinOps Managing Consultant, you will drive client innovation in cloud economics, ensuring that cloud adoption delivers tangible business value, regulatory compliance, and reduced carbon footprint.
Your Role
As a Senior Manager within our Cloud Advisory capability, you will advise clients on cloud cost optimisation, financial governance, and value realisation. You will communicate across all organisational levels, collaborate on new cloud economics models, and bring market‑driven insights to sustainable transformations.
Responsibilities
* Cost Optimisation Analysis: Analyse cloud usage patterns, identify savings, and enforce budget‑aligned policies.
* Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare detailed forecasts, present spend insights to senior client management.
* Policy and Governance: Establish governance guardrails and best practices for cost control.
* Training and Enablement: Deliver FinOps best‑practice training and foster a culture of accountability.
* Vendor Engagement: Manage relationships with cloud vendors.
Qualifications
* Experience with FinOps projects and initiatives.
* Setup and definition of Cloud FinOps CoEs and governance models.
* FinOps certification.
* Hands‑on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP and FinOps tools such as Cloudability, CloudCheckr, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management.
* Deep understanding of cloud cost optimisation, billing, metering, and TCO analysis.
* Experience in cloud contracting and licensing models.
* Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed environment and secure stakeholder support.
* Cloud practitioner certification.
* Comfortable in a client‑facing consulting role.
Additional Experience
* Demonstrated delivery of advisory engagements with measurable outcomes.
* Leadership of multi‑workstream teams in complex delivery environments.
* Trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
* Business development generating approximately £1m in consulting revenue.
