Complex Care Support Worker Job Overview
Location: Ashford and surrounding areas
Hourly Rate: £15.00 to £16.83
Shifts: 10:30am to 5:30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, and alternate Saturdays or Sundays from 10:30am to 5:30pm.
We ask for some flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave within the team.
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Support Worker:
* Due to family wishes, only male applicants are considered.
* Previous care experience is essential.
* You must be eligible to work in the UK; sponsorship is not provided.
* Full UK driving licence is essential.
About the Role:
Continuity of Care Services seeks a compassionate and dedicated Male Complex Care Support Worker to support a gentleman in his 30s with epilepsy, learning disabilities, and autism. Experience relevant to these conditions is essential. The role involves supporting the client both at home and in the community, including activities like swimming. You will need to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV), so confidence and calmness as a driver are important.
Client Requirements:
* Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors (essential).
* Complex manual handling experience (preferred, training provided).
* Experience with medication administration, especially diabetes medication (preferred, not essential).
* Meal preparation and snack provision.
All new staff undergo onboarding, including induction and training, and will meet the client and family to shadow existing staff.
