Location: Bristol (sessions delivered in local schools, community venues, or in the student’s home)
Rate: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutor to join our growing team in Bristol. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a range of Special Educational Needs.
About the Role
You will work 1:1 with students who require additional learning support, delivering high-quality, personalised tuition. Sessions may take place in schools, local venues, or within the student’s home, depending on the individual’s needs and preferences.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years’ teaching/tutoring experience
* Proven experience supporting students with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, PDA, and other learning or communication needs
* Ability to assess, plan and deliver a tailored scheme of work for each learner
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A patient, empathetic approach with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for SEND learners
* Willingness to travel within the Bristol area for face-to-face sessions
Responsibilities
* Conduct initial assessments to understand each student’s needs, strengths, and goals
* Develop a bespoke learning plan and adapt resources to suit the learner
* Deliver engaging, structured lessons that support academic progress and confidence
* Liaise with parents, carers, schools, and professionals where required
* Maintain accurate progress notes and reports

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
