To provide a high quality service for the Trust’s Adult (under 65) population through effective team and interagency working. The Forensic Service aims to provide an integrated, multidisciplinary and comprehensive range of interventions for adults with a mental health disorder who have a history of offending behaviours or propensity to offend. Responsibilities
* To adhere to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
* To function as independent practitioner while contributing to the work of the multi-disciplinary mental health team.
* To complete comprehensive psycho-social assessments on an ongoing basis and for all new referrals/transfers into the Forensic Team.
* Will promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency.
Skills and Qualifications
* Level 1 Registered Nurse (RMN on the live NMC register (mental health branch).
* Have Nursing Degree AND 3 year’s post-registration experience in an Adult Mental Health setting Or Have 5 years post-registration experience as a band 5 including 3 years in an Adult Mental Health setting.
* Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car is essential. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved.
