We are looking for a clinician who is passionate about working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties to come and work in the socially and ethnically diverse borough of Tower Hamlets.

Main duties of the job
This is a community-based post, located within the Neurodevelopmental Team in Tower Hamlets CAMHS offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments to a wide variety of clinical presentations.
The post holder will provide evidence based episodes of care, assessments and treatment to young people with moderate to severe Learning Disability. The post holder will bring their clinical knowledge and skills to this team. NDT provide a broad range of evidence-based interventions including an established group programme (supporting behaviour, sleep, and a neuroaffirmative group for YP who have received recent diagnosis of ASC), Positive Behaviour Support, ASC assessment clinic (where necessary, appropriate training will be provided to ensure staff are equipped to complete ASC assessments effectively) consultation to CAMHS colleagues and schools, and direct work with children and their families, which the post holder will contribute towards. The post holder will join committed and enthusiastic colleagues and will contribute to the next phase of development for the team.

Education/Qualification/Training
Essential criteria
1. Qualification in appropriate mental health/social welfare profession including: Family & Systemic Psychotherapist / Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist / Occupational Therapist / Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health) / Social Worker / Art Therapist
2. Appropriate level of qualification for your profession e.g. BSc, Masters or Doctorate
3. Registration with your appropriate body (e.g. UKCP, NMC, HCPC etc.)
4. Evidence of continuous and relevant professional training and development (CPD) in keeping with qualification period
Desirable criteria
5. Qualifications/ training in specialist skills relevant to post (e.g. ADOS, 3Di, systemic therapy, CBT, Training in Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behavioural Analysis etc.)
Experience
Essential criteria
6. Experience of working in CAMHS and/or experience in Adult Services for Autism/ Learning Disability with clear evidence of transferable skills
7. Experience of working with (assessment, formulation and treating) a wide range of CAMHS clinical presentations
8. Experience of risk assessment and risk management
9. Experience of working with children, young people and families in emotional crisis
10. Experience of care planning and delivering episodes of evidence based interventions
11. Experience, skills and flexibility to contribute to and facilitate effective working within a multi-disciplinary team setting
12. Experience of working with partner agencies to support children and young people
13. Experience of outcome measures
