Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?
Do you have experience supporting individuals who may find it difficult to build social and emotional relationships?
In recent years, there has been a significant focus on supporting the mental health of pupils impacted by adverse childhood experiences.
We are seeking practitioners to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and complex needs on a 1:1 basis at a specialist primary school in Nuneaton, with an option to progress onto a contract with the right school. As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will support pupils within the classroom and run activities outside the classroom. You will work alongside the class teacher to ensure appropriate support is in place for the students.
This full-time position offers comprehensive support, guidance, and opportunities for additional training. It is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils in school or alternative settings, particularly those with SEND and complex needs, though candidates without previous experience will also be considered. This is a great opportunity to secure a role in a specialist school with an immediate start.
