A well-known FTSE company operating on a global scale is seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to join their Legal and Governance team as a Board Support and Governance Coordinator. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of board and committee governance, while also providing high-level executive support to the General Counsel and Company Secretary.
Your responsibilities:
This role supports the effective operation of Board and Committee governance, including coordinating meeting logistics, preparing agendas, minutes, and board packs, and liaising with senior stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication. The successful candidate will maintain governance calendars, statutory records, support regulatory filings, and provide high-level executive assistance to the General Counsel and Company Secretary. A strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and best practices is essential, as the role involves implementing and monitoring governance policies, compliance tracking, and internal audits. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion are required.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience in governance and board support within a corporate or legal environment, with a good understanding of corporate governance frameworks and company secretarial practices. Strong organisational and time management skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information are crucial. Experience as an EA to senior board members is beneficial.
