Overview

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in the nursing process, contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working under the guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs), you will provide essential support in patient education and care activities, all while utilizing your skills and competencies.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and social needs in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, collaborating with RNs to create individualized treatment plans.
* Implement treatment programs as directed by Health Care Practitioners, including administering medications and performing diagnostic tests in accordance with established protocols.
* Participate in controlled substance counts at the start of each shift, ensuring adherence to safety techniques and responding effectively to health emergencies.
* Assist in medical and minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting for clear communication with the healthcare team.
* Engage in mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, showcasing your commitment to continuous professional development and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education:
* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Experience:
* Preferred minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
* Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
* Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
