Offer description

Reporting to the Head of Category – Homes, this role sits within La Redoute UK's commercial team and is responsible for the day-to-day trading performance and execution of assigned Homes categories across furniture and homewares.

The Product Category Manager owns what the customer sees on site within their categories, ensuring a cohesive and customer-focused product offer across both La Redoute internal ranges and externally sourced UK partner brands. The role brings together range management, pricing and promotional recommendations, supplier management and commercial analysis to deliver positive customer experiences and drive sales growth.

Operating in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, the Product Category Manager acts as the UK category expert for their areas, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and making evidence-based recommendations to optimise trading, pricing and promotional activity. They work collaboratively with Finance, Group offer teams and UK suppliers to improve commercial outcomes. While internal ranges are defined at Group level, the role is accountable for how these ranges are positioned, traded and presented for the UK customer.

The role works closely with Web Merchandising, Marketing, UX and Customer Service teams to enhance product presentation, conversion and customer understanding. It also plays an active part in supporting the wider team, pitching in where needed and contributing to the entrepreneurial, hands-on culture that underpins the way La Redoute UK operates.

Key Responsibilities

* End-to-end ownership of the commercial performance of assigned homes categories, ensuring a cohesive and customer-focused product offer across both La Redoute internal ranges and external partner brands.

* Managing current external suppliers and sourcing new opportunities, including leading supplier onboarding, relationship management and commercial negotiations.
* Working in partnership with Finance to understand profitability and lead ongoing commercial analysis to optimise pricing, promotions and discount strategies, including the use of trials to evidence recommendations.
* Analysing performance data to identify trading patterns, risks and opportunities, turning insight into clear, actionable recommendations that improve customer experience and commercial outcomes.
* Collaborating cross-functionally with Web Merchandising, Marketing, UX, Customer Experience and Customer Service teams to optimise product presentation, conversion, visibility and customer understanding of the ranges.
* Reviewing and improving product content, imagery and on-site presentation to ensure ranges are clearly communicated, commercially effective and aligned to brand expectations.
* Proactively adopting new tools, ways of working and AI-driven efficiencies to improve effectiveness, prioritisation and commercial impact.

Skills & Experience Required

* At least 2 years commercial or buying experience in Furniture or Homewares

* 'Nothing is impossible' approach
* Autonomous and independent working
* Investigative and solutions focused, especially when navigating multiple deadlines
