A well-established and highly regarded nursery in Toxteth is seeking to appoint a Nursery Nurse from October 2025. The nursery provides outstanding early years education and care for children aged 1–4 years. With a nurturing and inclusive environment, we aim to build a strong foundation for every child’s growth and development.
Overview
As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for the children in our care. Working closely with our dedicated team, you will support learning, encourage social interaction and promote overall wellbeing. Your enthusiasm, creativity and passion for child development will ensure a positive experience for both children and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities to support children’s physical, social and cognitive development.
* Provide individualised care tailored to the unique needs of each child.
* Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages positive relationships between children, staff and parents.
* Observe, monitor and record children’s progress, behaviour and development.
* Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised classroom in line with health and safety standards.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver curriculum plans.
* Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress, activities and any concerns.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience in a nursery or early years education setting.
* Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practice.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A caring, patient and nurturing approach, with a genuine love for working with children.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Basic First Aid and safeguarding training (desirable).
