Easton Farm's Royle Eventing is a busy, friendly yard with lots of opportunities to learn and develop. They are looking for a Level 2 OR 3 EQUINE GROOM apprentice - someone who is willing to learn, is reliable, has lots of energy and who is trustworthy - A great attitude is very important! Prior experience with horses and caring for them is essential. Duties will include, but not be limited to: • Turning out/bringing in • General stable and field maintenance • Tack cleaning • Tacking up • Feeding and preparing feed • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming if possible • Bathing • Riding • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, long reining, pessoa training etc.) • Assisting for vet/farrier/dentist • Possibility of grooming at shows To apply for this role you must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU 3 years or more. Training All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach. Qualifications required A GCSE or equivalent pass in English and maths is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship. Skills required Previous equine experience in care and riding is essential to this role. Prospects Upon completion, there may be the possibility to progress onto the Level 3 Senior Groom Apprenticeship and/or gain permeant employment.
