Role Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing fire alarm systems across client sites in the Barking and Dagenham area. This is a field-based role with a company-provided van to support efficient travel between jobs.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair fire alarm systems to the highest standards.
* Diagnose faults and complete remedial works independently.
* Carry out routine inspections and compliance checks in line with relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 5839) and industry practices.
* Produce accurate service reports and documentation following each visit.
* Attend client sites across the local area and deliver excellent customer service.
* Maintain company vehicle stock, tools and safety checks.
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer or similar field-based role.
* Relevant qualifications in fire alarm systems (FIA units, City & Guilds or equivalent).
* Strong fault-finding and technical skills across conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
