Role Description
We are seeking a South Indian Chef to join our team in a full-time capacity at our Chesterfield location. The role involves preparing and cooking authentic South Indian dishes, creating menu items, managing food quality and presentation, and ensuring the consistent use of traditional spices and techniques. The chef will also manage kitchen operations, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This is an on-site position requiring attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for South Indian cuisine.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in South Indian cooking styles, including expertise in Kerala cuisine and signature dishes
* Knowledge of traditional South Indian spices and ingredient preparation
* Experience in menu development and food presentation
* Understanding of kitchen safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
* Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and service staff
* Ability to manage kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality
* Previous experience as a chef specializing in South Indian cuisine is highly desirable
* Culinary training or certifications in South Indian cooking are a plus
