Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our small pharmacy team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy team operations by assisting pharmacy staff in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. You will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of the pharmacy while providing excellent service to our patients.
Duties
* To be heavily involved in over the counter sales and giving medical advice
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
* Provide medication administration support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
* Engage with patients to provide information about medications and answer any queries they may have.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment.
* Support daily operations by performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing prescription requests.
Experience
* Experience would be beneficial but not necessary.
* Training will be given on site.
* Familiarity with medication administration practices is beneficial.
* A background in patient care is an advantage, showcasing your commitment to providing high-quality service.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
