ROLE PURPOSE:
To carry out the assembly, test and packing operations that you are trained for within Leafield Marine.
To ensure that the above activities are carried out efficiently and to the required standard.
To assist in maintaining a safe production environment.
The above activities are carried out to in accordance with the approved Procedures and Work Instructions.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
a) To carry out assembly of parts where training has been given or while being trained by another operator who is trained. The valves and other products an operator is trained on are identified in the product training log and in the shop floor training matrix.
b) To carry out testing of parts as required where training has been given or while being trained under supervision.
c) To carry out any packaging required in accordance with the company work instructions.
d) To carry out the appropriate paperwork transactions as specified by the Supervisor/Inspector.
e) To ensure that the production area is kept clean and tidy and to identify any perceived hazards to supervision or health and safety representative.
f) To ensure that Test Rigs have been set up and checked by supervision or inspection before starting production.
g) To handle all scrap in accordance with the company work instructions.
h) To highlight to supervision any suggestions as to how the processes could be modified to improve assembly times or reduce rework.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
* Training in valve assembly desirable.
* Understanding of the appropriate procedures.
