Operations Manager – Commercial Drainage

A fast-growing and well-established commercial drainage contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to oversee field operations across London and the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically strong business delivering drainage, wastewater and civil engineering services to commercial clients. The company has built a strong reputation in the industry and is continuing to expand, creating an opportunity for an experienced operational leader to play a key role in its growth.
The role would suit someone with field operations or service delivery management experience within industries such as construction, utilities, drainage, civils, facilities management, engineering or infrastructure.
Drainage experience is beneficial but not essential - strong leadership and operational experience managing field teams is the key requirement.
The Role

Manage day-to-day field operations across drainage and civil engineering works
*
Oversee engineers, supervisors and subcontractors across multiple projects
*
Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
*
Plan resources, schedules and operational delivery
*
Liaise with clients and internal teams regarding project delivery
*
Drive performance, productivity and operational improvements
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
The Person
*
Proven experience in Operations Management / Field Management / Service Delivery Management
*
Experience managing engineers or site teams in industries such as construction, utilities, drainage, civils or FM
*
Strong leadership and organisational skills
*
Ability to manage multiple jobs, teams and operational priorities
*
Commercial awareness and strong communication skills
