After School Music Club Facilitator Freelance 27 / hr DY4 (West Midlands)
Are you passionate about inspiring young musicians? Do you have the energy and creativity to lead engaging fun music sessions for primary-aged children? Sing Education is looking for a dynamic and experienced freelance music facilitator to lead a weekly after‑school music club in the DY4 area.
About the Role
Hours: 2 hours per week (1 session per week after school)
Pay: £27 per hour (freelance)
Location: DY4 area, West Midlands
Start date: As soon as available
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead a vibrant rotating programme of musical activities designed to inspire creativity and confidence through music‑making. Based on our classroom approach but adapted for an informal club setting, the activities will include:
* Singing games and Kodály‑inspired musicianship
* Ukulele, recorder, and percussion playing
* Group rhythm and drumming activities
* Improvisation and creative music games
Our club model follows a rotation of musical themes across the year to keep sessions fresh, engaging and inclusive.
Requirements
* Music degree (or other music‑related degree)
* A confident and inspiring music leader with experience working with primary‑aged children
* Strong musical skills in singing and at least one instrument (ukulele, recorder, percussion ideal)
* Understanding of Kodály‑inspired approaches or willingness to learn
* Reliable, professional and committed to delivering high‑quality music education
* Full vetting and DBS check to be carried out
