A Maths teacher with a QTS is required for an Alternative Provision school within the Newcastlearea. In this role you will be working one to one with a pupil who has an EHCP. You will join a welcoming team and the role will start asap and will be full time and ongoing long term. The ideal candidate will have a real wish to work with underprivileged pupils who have social, emotional and mental health issues.
You must hold a QTS and have a background working with SEMH or a willingness to work in SEMH schools. Experience of counselling or mentoring is a benefit but is not essential.
