Job Description:
The General Service Technician role is full-time or part-time, hourly, and responsible for basic vehicle repair and maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role involves delivering exceptional service through effective communication and meeting guest expectations for quality and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform basic vehicle services and repairs efficiently and accurately according to Monro standards.
2. Perform tire services including wheel removal, balancing, patching, mounting, and TPMS repair.
3. Perform vehicle services such as oil changes, lubrication, basic maintenance, and battery testing/installation.
4. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying and communicating additional needed services.
5. Assist in inventory management, including pulling and stocking tires and parts.
6. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure a guest-ready environment.
7. Adhere to safety standards, including torque procedures and safety protocols.
8. Test drive vehicles following company policies and safety laws.
9. Follow company policies, environmental codes, and OSHA standards.
10. Maintain technical knowledge through training and courses.
11. Operate and maintain equipment safely.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Automotive training or experience in basic car maintenance and repair.
* Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
* Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
