Yolk Recruitment is supporting a local established and respected manufacturing business in the Bridgend area in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team on a permanent days-based shift.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a leading UK manufacturer that's part of a global engineering group.
You'd be working in an established engineering team, focusing on planned maintenance and breakdown support across advanced machinery and wider plant equipment.
It's a hands‑on role with plenty of variety – from electrical and mechanical repairs to supporting continuous improvement projects and equipment installations.
They're looking for someone with a solid background in maintenance, ideally with experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. If you've got 18th Edition or PLC knowledge, that's a big plus. The company really values safety, teamwork, and development, so you'll have access to ongoing training and the chance to work with cutting‑edge technology in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
* Supporting improvement projects to enhance machine performance and reliability
* Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
* Competence in mechanical and electrical fault finding and repair
* A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent)
