CAD/CAM Programmer Salary: £35,000–£38,000 (depending on experience) An established UK-based engineering manufacturer is looking to add a CAD/CAM Programmer to its growing team. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, you’ll play a key role in CNC programming, improving machining processes, and driving efficiency on the shop floor. Key Responsibilities: Generate CNC programs using Hypermill CAD/CAM software Work closely with machinists and suppliers to optimise tooling Design jigs and fixtures to support production flow Review and improve component routings and manufacturing methods Support training initiatives, including machine setups and apprentices Assess and manage machining subcontractors from a quality and capability standpoint Contribute to layout planning, equipment maintenance, and risk assessments Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives Provide machine cover when required Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers What We’re Looking For: Confident communicator who thrives in a team environment Proactive approach with a strong focus on health & safety Awareness of ISO9001:2015 standards is desirable What’s on Offer: £35,000–£38,000 annual salary (DOE) 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) 8% pension (4% employer / 4% employee) 39-hour week with flexitime and early finish on Fridays Paid sick leave after six months’ service Onsite parking, Cycle to Work scheme, and shower facilities Employee Assistance Programme Death in Service cover £1,500 employee referral bonus Christmas shutdown By applying for this position, you consent to Recruit Engineering processing and storing your personal data, including your CV, contact details, and any other relevant information, for the purpose of providing work-finding services.
