Job Title: Accounts Manager
Our client has a vacancy for an Accounts Manager to handle a diverse and challenging workload supporting the delivery of legal services.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Managing the Firm's accounts on a day-to-day and annual basis.
2. Assisting with human resources administration.
3. Providing advice on regulatory compliance, including SRA and SARs.
4. Organising the Firm's insurance, accreditation, and practicing certificate renewals.
5. Negotiating with third-party suppliers such as stationery and IT services.
Additional duties include:
1. Preparing information for the Firm's accountants for annual SARs audits and year-end accounts.
2. Handling VAT returns, corporate tax instalments, payroll, and NI/tax payments to HMRC.
3. Checking and authorising transactions from the client account.
4. Managing CQS applications and ensuring staff complete annual CQS training courses.
5. Applying for practicing certificate bulk renewals and insurance renewals.
6. Managing SRA applications when required.
7. Handling tasks related to sickness, holidays, DBS checks, and software/system advice.
8. Liaising with the IT support company.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of LEAP as a case management system is beneficial but not essential.
