We’re representing a highly regarded multi-disciplinary practice that is part of a nationally recognised legal and professional services group. They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Residential team and play a lead role in delivering high-profile housing and mixed-use schemes across the UK.
This is a great opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects—ranging from large-scale regeneration schemes to bespoke residential developments—with a friendly, growing team that values autonomy, responsibility, and career development.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead construction projects across the residential and housing sectors
* Act as Employer’s Agent on Design & Build contracts
* Deliver full Quantity Surveying and Project Management services, following ISO-certified procedures
* Manage client relationships and act as the key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
* Mentor junior staff (including assistants and apprentices), contributing to their technical and professional growth
* Work independently on multiple projects while supporting the wider team as needed
* Attend regular site visits across the UK
* Contribute to ongoing quality assurance, CPD, and internal best practices
What You’ll Bring:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, or a related field
* MRICS status (preferred) or a clear commitment to achieving chartership within 3 years
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a QS or EA role within a consultancy or contractor environment
* Solid knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties
* Experience managing projects independently and reporting to senior stakeholders
* Proficiency with measurement software (CostX preferred)
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites nationwide
