Location: South Wales region – hybrid working
The Role
Join Natural Resources Wales to help ensure the sustainable use and maintenance of resources for the present and future, focus on tackling climate change, nature's recovery, and minimise pollution.
Be part of their Hydrology & Geomorphology Team as one of three Geomorphologists, advising on river systems across iconic Welsh catchments like the Teifi and Wye. You'll combine office and fieldwork, from river surveys and data analysis to supporting permitting and restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical geomorphological advice and reports
Support permitting decisions and ensure compliance with WFD
Advise on river restoration, bioengineering, and NFM
Contribute to emergency planning and health & safety
Promote sustainable management of natural resources
Requirements
Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. geography, environmental science, civil engineering)
Graduate member of CIWEM/ICE, working towards chartership
Proven field and analytical experience in geomorphology
Strong communication and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence
