Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Rate: GBP90 - GBP120 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
About the School
We are partnering with a fantastic specialist school in Bradford that supports students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored learning to meet EHCP goals and individual needs.
* Support students with social and emotional development, as well as academic progress.
* Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and adaptations that support inclusive education.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to help students engage with their learning.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience working with students with SEN, ideally within a school setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
* A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to helping children make progress.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and support strategies to suit individual students.
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
* Hold Right to Work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional child‑related references.
