Management Accountant
Hertford
Up to £60,000 per annum
Role Overview:
The Management Accountant will play a key role within our finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.
Key responsibilities:
* Preparing accurate and timely financial information
* Balance sheet reconciliations, and stock and cost of sales accounting. A
* Support and improve the quality and efficiency of financial reporting by developing processes to bring information directly from the system
* Managing a team of 2 Assistant Accountant's
· Ensure charges, Amex fees, bounced checks, SL claims are journal on monthly basis
· Reconciling Bank - includes Cash and all postings
· Reconcile Petty cash and create Journals to post
· Update the rebate model on monthly basis
· Prepare Accrual based on the model - ensure risk is mitigated
· Upload payments on to the system
· Prepare and send weekly cashflow forecast to senior members
· Download monthly statements and pass to relevant individuals
Qualifications:
* Fully Qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA
* Proven experience (3+ years) as a Management Accountant or a similar senior financial management role.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
* In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in ERP system and advanced MS Excel skills.
