HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm (12 Weeks)
Location: Grangemouth
Contract: Temp to Perm via Driver Hire Grangemouth
Hourly Pay (Temp Phase):
1. £14.50 per hour – Accrued Holidays
2. £16.25 per hour – Advanced Holidays
Permanent Salary: £30,000 + bonuses
Extras: Occasional overnights (paid), overtime available
Start Times: Various start times depending on delivery destination
About the Role
Driver Hire Grangemouth is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for a 12‑week temp‑to‑perm opportunity with a well-known timber distribution company. This is a great chance to move into a long-term, stable role with a respected employer in the timber and panel products sector.
Key Duties
3. Delivering timber and sheet materials using a Class 2 vehicle
4. Securing loads safely and following company safety procedures
5. Providing professional customer service at delivery points
6. Completing all delivery and vehicle paperwork
7. Daily vehicle checks and general vehicle cleanliness
8. Occasional night-outs (paid)
9. Supporting warehouse/yard operations when needed
10. Working various start times to suit delivery destinations
Requirements
11. Class 2 (Category C) licence
12. Minimum 2 years on licence
13. Previous HGV 2 experience (timber/building materials advantageous)
14. Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph
15. Good customer service and communication skills
16. Ability to complete some manual handling
17. Reliable and safety focused

21. Weekly pay through Driver Hire
22. Overtime available
