The Role
We are seeking a newly qualified criminal solicitor to join our busy team. You will advise and represent clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts, and prepare cases for trial in both magistrates’ and crown courts. Some out-of-hours work will be required.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent clients at police stations and magistrates’ courts
* Prepare criminal cases for trial
* Work with a diverse and often vulnerable client base
* Participate in the out-of-hours rota
* Requirements
Essential:
* Qualified Solicitor (or qualifying in 2025)
* Experience preparing criminal cases
* Strong communication and time-management skills
Desirable:
* Police Station Accreditation
* Experience working with vulnerable clients
* Familiarity with legal aid and case management systems
