Job Title:
Senior Engineer – Electrical Engineering
(Power) Location:
Barrow-in-Furness – Hybrid (3 days minimum on site dependent on
business needs).
Salary: £41,000 – £49,000
(Commensurate with skills and experience)
What you’ll be
doing: Assist the
Power and Distribution Ensure compliance with SIL (Safety Integrity Level)
classifications for allocated PBSs (Product Breakdown Structure).
Where a non-compliance exists, ensure that an ALARP (As Low As
Reasonability Practicable) statement is produced and approved by
the Approving Authority and INA (Independent Nuclear
Assurance). Engage with stakeholders and as
required host/attend UK/US technical forums conducting a transfer
of information across the NSRP (Nuclear Steam Raising Plant) and
ensuring that the TA (Technical Authority) merge joint Lf E
(Learning from Experience) into the EPS (Electrical Power System)
design
Responsible for ensuring that
Dreadnought is designed in accordance with the End User
Requirements as laid down by the Defence Nuclear
Organisation
Undertake build surveillance
activities on the platform as agreed with the Joint Build Assurance
working group, Provide technical reviews and technical author compliance
statements on all systems under the electrical power teams This is a varied role in which the incumbent will have
the ability to travel to other supplier sites.

provided every year to the team.
Your skills and
experiences: Essential:
Knowledge
and demonstrated experience of IT systems
Understanding of LV (Low Voltage CEng/IEng status or working
towards
Fully conversant with electrical
conversion equipment
