As a Workshop Supervisor, you will lead and supervise a team of HGV technicians to ensure optimal performance and high-quality repairs.
Responsibilities:
* Manage workshop work in progress and provide timely updates on progress to service reception or customers.
* Address job issues in real-time to ensure repair quality and minimise downtime.
* Oversee and sign off on job documents.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer procedures.
* Conduct fault diagnosis using the latest diagnostic equipment.
* Perform quality control checks on technician repairs.
* Communicate effectively with workshop technicians and service reception to ensure clear job specifications and time budgets.
* Maximise shift performance through effective problem-solving, coaching, and development.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Workshop Controller or in a similar role.
* Experience in diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance of HGVs.
* City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance.
* Ideally have experience with specific truck brands and dealership environments.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
