Credit Controller Chadderton | Full-time | Finance Department £28,000 Reporting to: Credit Control Team Leader Take the lead in credit control and play a key role in improving cash flow across a dynamic business. What You’ll Be Doing As a Credit Controller, you’ll own the full collections process – reducing aged debt, driving cash flow, and managing customer accounts with confidence and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: * Chase outstanding payments and build strong customer relationships * Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly cash collection targets * Reconcile customer accounts and clear aged items (write-offs, journals, duplicates) * Maintain detailed records and support cash forecasting * Recommend accounts for legal action when necessary * Contribute ideas for process improvement and assist with system testing What We’re Looking For * Experience in B2B credit control (fast-paced environment) * Excellent verbal and written communication * Confident using Excel, Outlook & Word * Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure * Team player with strong problem-solving skills Preferable but not essential: * Experience with Microsoft Dynamics * Studying towards or qualified with the Institute of Credit Management What’s in It for You? * Competitive salary bonus scheme * Working a 40 hour week, flexibility over the start and finish times and Hybrid working – up to 2 days from home after 6 months’ training * Supportive team and leadership * Opportunity to make a real impact and shape process improvements
