Working both on your own and in a team across an organisations occupied and vacant social housing properties, you will be preparing and fitting vinyl flooring in wet rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Your work will involve accurately measuring and preparing floors using latex or plywood, then fitting vinyl sheet flooring, safety flooring, or vinyl tiles to a high standard.
Operating a work patch across Hampshire and the into the boarders of Dorset and Sussex you will manage your day through booked appointments attending occupied properties where your strong customer service should shine.
You will also form part of the organisations kitchen and bathroom team undertaking planned works where you will install various types of floor coverings to meet upgrade and repair investment programmes to the organisations social housing stock.
You'll also carry out minor repairs on different types of floor coverings, making sure any potential hazards are dealt with so our customers can feel safe in their homes.
You will report to management with relevant information regarding site hazards and uploading completed job information using a company PDA.
The company will provide you with a uniform, van and PPE so all you need to bring is your trade skills and great customer service approach to your working day, whilst using your positive attitude to deliver a high-quality, 'right first time' service.
What's needed from you
UK driving licence
Awareness of using a van
Trade skill is all aspects of vinyl sheet flooring, safety flooring, or vinyl tiles
Physically fit and able to lift and move materials
Good timekeeping
Ability to operate a handheld PDA to log visits - training will be given
Ability to work well in a team environment
Able to take direction also work on your own initiative
