The Head of Relationship Management (Regional) drives service and revenue through lending, working with intermediaries and directly with clients and customers. The HRMR leads a lending team experienced across a wide range of lending including bridging, property, and portfolio Buy-to-Let, asset-backed, and specialist lending, ensuring GB Bank is a lender of choice.


In this role, you will:

* Drive revenue and ensure good customer outcomes across various lending types including bridging, property, portfolio Buy-to-Let, asset-backed, and specialist lending.
* Ensure the Lending team aligns with the bank's strategic goals and contributes effectively to overall business growth.
* Create strategic plans for building relationships and sourcing lending, ensuring targets are met.
* Lead and manage the team of Regional Relationship Managers, driving new lending origination through inquiries and beyond.
* Support team development with varied expertise and backgrounds.
* Contribute to revenue growth through individual target setting and exemplary practice.
* Produce and present management information on team progress, pipelines, completions, and other data to drive productivity.
* Ensure timely and credible enquiries and applications through the credit approval process, with support from relevant teams.
* Support the development and negotiation of loan proposals, ensuring compliance with lending criteria and approval processes.
* Establish and maintain exceptional customer relationships, promoting retention and long-term engagement.
* Ensure team delivers excellent service to brokers, maintaining GB Bank's reputation as the top choice for future lending needs.
* Create and maintain good customer outcomes, ensuring all lending complies with regulatory standards.
* Manage and mentor the team to meet and exceed lending targets while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
* Collaborate with the Portfolio team for credit reviews, covenant monitoring, and post-completion conditions.
* Build and maintain relationships with key professionals in the property lending market, including clients, brokers, solicitors, and valuers.


A bit about you:


Key Skills and Experience

* Proven experience as a Relationship Manager or Director in property lending, especially in bridging finance or Buy-to-Let sectors.
* A track record of meeting and exceeding lending targets.
* Extensive knowledge and presence in the property lending market with a strong network of brokers and stakeholders.
* Strong credit knowledge and experience in lending to businesses, focusing on property-backed lending.
* Expertise in risk management, financial analysis, and core lending practices, especially bridging finance.
* Natural leadership with strong business development skills.
* Proactive, enthusiastic, and positive attitude to making an impact.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Deep understanding of the property lending market and credit processes.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to structure complex loan proposals.
* Customer-centric approach with high service standards.

What else do I need to know?

* Location: Field-based in The Midlands with a requirement to visit the London Office twice a month.
