We’re looking for an Insurance Operations Associate to manage our insurance underwriting partnerships and claims third-party administrator (TPA) partnerships in the UK. Reporting to the Chief Commercial & Insurance Officer UK as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious insurance professional to join a scaling business and accelerate your career.
Location: Manchester hub (hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
What You’ll Do
* Manage our insurance underwriting partner relationships and act as the day-to-day contact for our underwriting partners.
* Project manage and execute new initiatives with underwriting partners, including product or channel launches and operational updates.
* Serve as the go-to for all claims activities, trends, and TPA capabilities and performance.
* Contribute to cross-functional projects such as new product launches and partner onboarding.
* Provide insights and reporting on claims experience and TPA performance to internal stakeholders, including the Board.
* Maintain strong liaison with TPAs and underwriters, promoting collaboration and accountability.
* Drive continuous improvements in end-to-end claims operations to enhance customer experience and business outcomes.
* Lead training, new process development, and FNOL updates for new products and changes.
* Handle referrals and escalations; manage claims referrals and escalations to and from TPAs and underwriters, ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
* Own data and reporting for TPAs and underwriting partners; ensure complete and accurate data flow for business management.
* Ensure partners receive the data and reporting they need.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in consumer insurance products, underwriting, or claims, with exposure to claims management and oversight.
* Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills; ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and execute tasks.
* Customer- and partner-facing mindset with ownership mentality when issues arise.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as within cross-functional teams; enthusiasm to learn in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
* Experience in a fast-growth start-up or scale-up is beneficial but not required.
