We are seeking an exceptional Learning and Development Manager to join our Human Resources department at The Berkeley & The Emory.
With an independent spirit and an eye for style, The Berkeley is the epitome of modern British luxury, featuring rooms furnished by leading designers. The hotel is ideally located between Hyde Park, Knightsbridge, and Belgravia. Signature experiences include The Berkeley Bar & Terrace, The Berkeley Café, and Cedric Grolet’s first London patisserie.
Reporting to our Corporate Director of Learning and Development, this role will be key in driving service excellence through tailored educational activities to enhance competencies within The Berkeley & The Emory.
As a Learning & Development Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Facilitating learning and development programs to improve employee skills and performance.
2. Assessing team needs through collaboration with Heads of Departments, observation, and industry knowledge to create bespoke training.
3. Promoting learning and development internally and externally, on and off the job.
4. Driving service excellence and quality standards through targeted solutions.
5. Supporting onboarding and induction training for key roles.
6. Designing and delivering creative training initiatives and short sessions within departments.
Successful candidates will:
1. Provide intuitive service, understanding guest needs to support departments in creating memorable experiences.
2. Demonstrate dedication to The Berkeley & The Emory and uphold high standards of quality.
3. Maintain immaculate personal presentation.
4. Ideally have experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury environment.
