The National Strategic Clinical Network for Diabetes (Diabetes Network) was established on the 1st of October 2023, following the transition from the All Wales Diabetes Implementation Group. The Diabetes Network’s aim is to focus on providing a greater strategic direction for diabetes care across Wales, improve health outcomes and support delivery of enhanced quality care across Wales
To provide professional and strategic leadership to the network within their own area of expertise.
To provide strategic and clinical guidance and advice to associated Networks on the role and direction of the SCN for Diabetes.
To communicate the vision around future service provision of Diabetes care in a way which motivates the clinical community based on improving outcomes within a value-based context from national policy through to local delivery level.
To inspire colleagues to innovate and problem solve acting in the best interests of the population and take collective responsibility for decision making.
To directly lead the development of patient centered models of care in line with the Quality Statement for Diabetes.
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 24 MONTHS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
