Pertemps has an exciting opportunity for HGV Class 2 Monday to Friday working in partnership with Yusen Logistics at a logistics site in Leeds (LS9 0SG) West Yorkshire. This role involves working on behalf of a global leader in logistics.
Duties include:
1. Start between 05:30am & 07:00am.
2. Must have 2 years of experience to be covered under your driver insurance.
3. Between 10-14 drops per day.
4. Handballing & lifting on some drops.
5. Deliveries may include palletised goods to RDCs like Tesco & Amazon, and can involve white goods, fridges, freezers, and electronics.
6. Deliveries to hospitals and independent electrical stores, mainly kerbside.
7. Sack barrow & tail lifts used.
8. Max 6 points & no major endorsements like CU80s.
9. Loads must be strapped & secured as per government rules.
10. No nights out unless unavoidable.
11. Automatic vehicles preferred unless it’s a hired truck, which could be manual.
12. Fuel off-site at Skelton Lake Services; AD-BLUE can fill up on site.
Skills & Experience required:
* Experience in multi-drop Class 2 driving.
* Hold a LGV C licence with at least 1 year of driving experience.
* Licence with no more than 6 penalty points and free of endorsements like DDs, DRs, or IN10s.
Salary & Benefits:
Monday to Friday day rates: £16.53/hr for 8 hours minimum, £24.80/hr after 8.75 hours.
All pay rates are PAYE; LTD or umbrella companies are not accepted.
Additional benefits include holiday pay, optional pension scheme, SSP if applicable, and weekly pay.
