Responsibilities
The consultant is responsible for the establishment of guidelines and the supervision of the team\'s clinical practice. A formal Job Plan will be agreed between the appointee and their Clinical Director within three months after the commencement date, and will be reviewed annually following the Appraisal Meeting. The Job Plan is a prospective agreement that sets out a consultant\'s duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year.

Job Description

Qualifications
Essential
* Full GMC Registration
* MBBS or equivalent
* Holds CCT or equivalent or will obtain within 6 months of interview date in Palliative Care
Desirable
* Other degrees (e.g., BSc, MSc, MD, PhD)
Knowledge
* Clinical Governance principles
* Awareness of current General Medical practices
Experience
* Wide experience in Palliative Care Medicine
* Full and independent management of clinical patient workload
* Experience of teaching doctors-in-training and undergraduates
* Experience of clinical audit and QIP process
* Experience of collaborative clinical or laboratory research
