We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Hire Centre in Bridgewater. In this role, you will be responsible for refurbishing and fitting out the complete range of Portakabin buildings to the highest standards, specializing in electrical work, as well as aftersales and rectification tasks.
* Hourly Rate: £15.32 per hour plus up to £4.53 per hour, based on skill set and behaviours
* Contract type: Permanent
* Annual leave: 24 days plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
* Conduct fault finding and rectify existing systems on and off-site.
* Understand and apply electrical principles related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety practices and legislation to promote a zero-harm environment.
* Assist in fitting out and refurbishing Portakabin buildings as needed.
* Support supplementary tasks, including installation and termination of building works.
* Ensure workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications and standards.
* Apply lean principles to help the team meet and exceed KPI targets.
* Design and install electrical systems complying with current regulations.
* Test buildings to required standards and complete necessary documentation and certification.
* Oversee testing requirements as the qualified supervisor, where applicable.
* Maintain tools and equipment for optimal use and longevity.
* Prioritize reconditioned fittings and materials without compromising quality.

Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with:
* Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Scheme / Indentures (or AM2) & City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 3 electrical installation
* City & Guilds / (IEE Wiring Regulations - 18th Edition) or JIB Card - Electrician (including IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition)
* Full driving license
* City & Guilds Inspection, Testing, and Certification (desirable)
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
