The vacancy Contract: Bank (Zero hours) Location: Telford Application Closing Date: Tuesday 24 June 2025 (We may close the advert early depending on application volume. We recommend an early application). If you have a passion for support work and enabling customers to manage their homes and improve their lives - you belong at Bromford. This bank role would be ideally suited to you if you have spare time in your week to cover shifts, sometimes at short notice. Your purpose is to provide ad-hoc housing-related support to vulnerable people who live on our schemes. As a bank support worker, you'll support customers living in our young adults scheme. You'll help create a customer-focused and welcoming environment, designing and providing tailored support to customers based on an assessment of needs, and adapting appropriately to suit individual customers. As well as deliver quality housing and support services to sustain tenancies and develop independence. You will work with local agencies to access any specialist support and signpost your customers to them, including debt and income support. You will engage with customers to build positive and inclusive relationships, whilst reviewing the impact of the support and the next steps needed. This role is available as a zero hours contract, supporting our schemes in Telford. There will be a variety of shifts available as this is a 24 hour, 7 day service. An enhanced DBS check is required as well as a full driving licence as you may need to support other schemes from time to time. We want you to be somebody who: Has experience of working in social housing and support Is well organised, comfortable in making their own decisions and a problem solver Will meet the needs of customers, commissioners and the wider community, whilst ensuring that service delivery is in line with Bromford's policies and procedures Will show confidence when articulating services to customers, colleagues, commissioners, and partner agencies Is comfortable reporting and maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information, including the handling of safeguarding concerns Feels that networking comes naturally to them - not only externally but internally too - and you can build relationships so people know they can go to you and trust you Has a full driving licence with access to a vehicle. If you have previous experience as a support worker, mental health support worker, residential support worker, specialist support worker, care worker, a family or adult support worker, or something similar, we would be really happy to hear from you.
